5 Loans in 2 Days… Slowly Getting My Rhythm Back 💪
There’s something powerful about feeling momentum return.
Back in the office at 6:30 AM.3–4 loans submitted today.2 more yesterday.
5 loans in the last 2 days.
Not where I ultimately want to be yet, but I’m proud of myself for continuing to show up, continue to rebuild, and continue to move forward.
Tomorrow it’s back in early again.
Also excited to reconnect with an old friend from the mortgage industry who flew out here to see a group of us. We worked together back in 2004 and now we’re both at WCL all these years later.
Life really does come full circle sometimes.
The grind.The relationships.The comeback.The growth.
Day by day. Brick by brick.

Returning to a productive routine in the mortgage industry can be both challenging and rewarding. Based on my recent experience of submitting five loans within two days, I’ve come to appreciate the small victories that build momentum over time. Starting early at 6:30 AM and dedicating focused hours to processing loans truly makes a difference. It's not just about the numbers; it's about showing up consistently, rebuilding your pipeline, and keeping that rhythm alive. One key takeaway is the importance of steady progress rather than immediate perfection. Even if the pace isn't where you want it to be yet, every loan submitted is a step towards regaining confidence and market presence. Staying organized and managing multiple clients simultaneously requires patience and grit. Additionally, reconnecting with old colleagues in the industry adds an unexpected boost. Networking can open doors to new opportunities and remind you of the relationships that have supported your career over the years. These connections highlight how life often comes full circle, reinforcing the value of long-term relationships in a mortgage broker’s journey. Moreover, handling the logistics of loan submission amid daily life, such as navigating routes (like staying in the right lanes on Lake Forest Drive to save time), reminds me that attention to detail in all areas contributes to overall productivity. In conclusion, rebuilding momentum in the mortgage business is a mix of dedication, persistence, and embracing the grind day by day, brick by brick. Celebrating small wins, nurturing relationships, and maintaining discipline in your routine collectively lead to sustainable growth and eventual success.
