Day 5 – Hanoi Edition 🇻🇳 | Early Check-in + One Big Bed Situation 😭
So we reached Hanoi at 4:30AM after a night bus from Sapa…
and yeah, we had to do early check-in 🥲
I don’t mind paying extra honestly, because at that point I just wanted a bed and a shower.
But I could already feel… she wasn’t very happy about it.
Anyway, fast forward — we finally got into the room.
I opened the door and instantly paused.
One big bed.
Not two single beds.

She immediately looked at me and went:
“Huh? You never book single ah?”
I told her I did select twin beds… but somehow we ended up here 💀
Next thing I know, she already went downstairs to check with reception.
She came back with a sigh.
And honestly… the whole energy just changed.
No yelling, no argument… but that silence + sigh combo is louder than anything 😭
She just kept looking at me like I did something wrong.
At that point I was just thinking:
“I paid extra, I didn’t sleep, I didn’t eat properly… and now I also become the problem?”
Suddenly the trip mood just… drop.
Not even angry anymore. Just tired.
Like I don’t even feel like exploring Hanoi already. I just want to disappear into the blanket and reset my brain.
