Shanghai coffee ☕️ what’s good in the hood

Lots of my friends recommended M Stand and Manner Coffee and I must say they’re both nice in their own ways. M Stand’s latte is a GOOD cuppa coffee by normal standards, good proportion of milk and caffeine that HITS THE SPOT 😩 Manner Coffee’s 桂花龙井 is a combination of mild coffee and tea, it doesn’t scream coffee, but still nice in its own way. I heard 桂花拿铁 is nicer, I might try that next time 😗

M Stand, situated in Xuhui District, features a menu that caters to classic coffee lovers, with expertly brewed lattes and espresso-based drinks that hit just the right balance of milk and caffeine. The cozy ambiance makes it an ideal spot for casual meetups or solo study sessions. Manner Coffee, on the other hand, is gaining attention for its innovative tea-coffee fusions like 桂花龙井 and 桂花拿铁, combining subtle floral and tea notes with coffee. It’s a refreshing twist for those who might find traditional coffee too intense. Reviews often highlight their smooth, mild flavor profile and inviting atmosphere. Both places provide a unique take on Shanghai’s evolving coffee scene, appealing to a range of tastes from the traditional to the adventurous. For anyone exploring coffee in Shanghai, it’s worth comparing both to see which matches your palate. Don’t forget to check out locals’ feedback online for updates on seasonal specialties or menu changes. Also, visiting during off-peak hours can give you a more relaxed experience to enjoy your drink and soak in the café vibe.
