Why you should skip school
I have been doing really well this semester not skipping school but this last week was my spring break and daylight savings time so I was exhausted come Monday and after my first class and i immediately could feel that I was getting nothing out of being in class. I took my next couple classes off and spent some time with my dogs and laid in the grass painting my new pot for my aloe plant. This helped me so much mentally. Also I live in a place where the winters and long and hard so when the sun comes out this time of year and it starts to get nicer it’s a crime to not soak up the sun. I hope this inspires you to take some time away from your busy lives to go soak up some of your own sunlight and rejuvenate yourselves! ☀️💕

Taking breaks from school can significantly improve your mental well-being. Studies show that spending time in nature, like laying in the grass or caring for plants, can help reduce stress and improve focus. As academic pressures increase, students often overlook their well-being. It's essential to balance school life with moments of relaxation and self-care. Activities such as painting, which promotes creativity, can also help alleviate stress. Many students are now starting to understand the value of mental health days—taking time off to recharge is becoming more accepted in school cultures. Incorporating outdoor time, especially during spring when the weather improves, can be highly advantageous. Consider practicing mindfulness in nature. Even short walks in green spaces can increase feelings of happiness and relaxation. Embrace the sunlight and natural beauty around you. Engage in simple activities that nourish your soul and allow you to reset and recharge. Additionally, remember to connect with pets, as they can provide comfort and companionship while relieving stress. Ultimately, prioritizing mental health should be as vital as academic efforts. Don’t hesitate to share your experiences and advocate for self-care among friends and classmates. Taking the initiative to prioritize your well-being will benefit not only you but also your academic performance in the long run.
