This strategy is called “I do, we do, you do” in education. It’s a gradual release of responsibility.
For “I do” Raffi is the “I” we listen to a list of things he is grateful for. That’s the example.
The “we do” is the meditation, it walks us through step by step thinking of things we are grateful for with examples and ideas.
Finally the dice game is “you do”. The kids came up with their own gratitude sentences when it was their turn to roll the dice. Granted, the 2 year old re-rolled until she got 3 every time and was grateful for ice cream and the 5 year old found a way to make every category about her BFF, but they got practice! #gratitude #learningthroughplay #familyvalues #familytime #intentionalliving
