Let’s speak Cree. nêhiyawêtân

You ever feel like you have something important to share — but don’t know where to begin?

That was me.

I wanted to help people learn Cree — our language, our voice — but I didn’t come from a content or design background. I just started. I used what I had, learned along the way, and kept showing up.

Eventually, I realized this work wasn’t just about language.

It was about connection — to identity, to each other, to our culture and and to the land.

That’s where nêhiyawêtân comes in. It’s Cree for “Let’s speak Cree.”

It’s a name with purpose. A direction.

If you’re here to learn, to reconnect, or even just to listen — I’m glad you’re here.

October
It’s chilly outside, and the air smells like fresh leaves. You can hear birds chirping, welcoming the day. The cliffs in the background look majestic, partly hidden by the mist. This peaceful scene captures the magic of a misty October morning in Vermont. #vermont #fall #magic #northea
