Can’t decide what to eat at RP? 🍽️

We asked our intern to rate some of the meals she's tried on campus, and here's her verdict! 🤔

... Read moreAs someone who has spent quite a bit of time exploring the dining options at Republic Polytechnic, I can definitely relate to the struggle of choosing what to eat on campus. The variety is impressive, ranging from Korean and Japanese cuisine at the South Canteen to Taiwanese fusion and familiar pasta spots at the North Canteen. What I appreciate most about the intern's ratings is how they give a personal perspective on each food stall’s strengths and weaknesses, which really helps in making an informed choice. For instance, the Mala dishes are known for their spicy kick, but be sure to opt for milder versions if you’re not used to heat. Meanwhile, the Hungry Bruh stall at the Lawn Canteen offers hearty meals that are perfect if you’re looking for something filling without breaking the bank. One tip I’ve found useful is to visit the canteens during non-peak hours. This way, you avoid long queues at popular stalls like The Crowded Bowl, ensuring a more relaxed meal experience. Also, don’t hesitate to try a little bit from different stalls over time; campus food diversity is one of RP’s best features! Sharing my own experience, the Taiwan Fusion spot serves up some of the most flavorful dishes, so it’s worth giving it a try if you want a taste that stands out. Ultimately, having these food ratings makes the campus dining scene feel a lot more accessible, especially for newcomers who might feel overwhelmed by choices. If the intern continues to review more meals, it would be a fantastic resource for everyone to explore and enjoy RP’s diverse campus food culture.
