I’m grateful we’ve chosen a different path. Love has never been measured by biology in our home. My son was adopted by my husband, whose adopted. My adopted son has been loved, supported, and treated as an equal every single day by his father. Blood never changed how he loves him. We’ve shown that showing up, being present, and loving your children equally isn’t complicated, but it takes a choice. Family isn’t defined by blood; it’s defined by the love, consistency, and commitment you give every day.
