And guess what? Sunlight is a major player in its production! When our skin is exposed to natural light, it sends signals to our brain to produce more serotonin. That's why on a bright, sunny day, you often feel more energetic, positive, and just generally happier. But what happens when the sun isn't around as much? This is where seasonal mood disorders, often referred to as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), can kick in.
