One of the biggest shifts came from truly understanding the 'Eat the Frog' concept. For a long time, I'd tackle easy tasks first, feeling busy but not productive. Now, every morning, I spend a few minutes identifying my biggest, most daunting task – the one I'd usually dread and put off. It might be a complex report, a difficult conversation, or a challenging creative project. By dedicating my freshest energy to that 'most important task' first, I not only get it out of the way, but it also creates an incredible sense of momentum and accomplishment that propels me through the rest of the day. It’s amazing how much mental energy is freed up when you’re not dreading that big task all day long! Then there are those small tasks that pile up and create mental clutter. That's where the 2-Minute Rule became my secret weapon. If an email takes less than 120 seconds to reply to, or a quick chore needs doing, I just do it *now*. No adding it to a list, no planning, just immediate action. It truly helps clear my mind. And when I'm feeling stuck or procrastinating on something larger, I count down from five using the 5-Second Rule. That little countdown is just enough to interrupt my hesitation and push me into action. It's a simple trick, but incredibly effective for stopping overthinking. To keep my daily goals manageable and ensure I'm hitting both big and small wins, the 1-3-5 Rule has been invaluable. Each morning, I consciously set *one big goal*, *three medium goals*, and *five small tasks*.
