It's not about being a genius overnight; it's about consistent, small steps that add up to big improvements. Let me share how I really made these habits work for me. One of the first habits I tackled was 'Read, read, read.' It sounds obvious, but fitting it in felt impossible. My turning point came when I stopped thinking of reading as a monumental task and started with just 15-20 minutes before bed instead of endless scrolling. I didn't just read dry non-fiction; I read things that genuinely interested me – whether it was a gripping novel, an article on a new tech trend, or a deep dive into a historical topic. The key for me was variety and making it enjoyable. I found that even short bursts of reading significantly expanded my vocabulary and critical thinking. Sometimes I'd even use audiobooks during my commute, turning dead time into learning time. It wasn't just about consuming information; it was about exposing my brain to different ideas and ways of thinking.
