Hey fellow art enthusiasts! I'm so thrilled you stopped by to check out my latest scenecore and kidcore digital drawing. While I'm super proud of this piece, I wanted to share a bit more about what inspires me and how you can dive into creating your own vibrant art in these fun styles! If you're like me, you might be wondering how to get started with scenecore and kidcore drawings, or perhaps you're looking for fresh ideas for your own characters and doodles. These aesthetics are all about bright colors, playful energy, and a touch of early 2000s nostalgia, often seen through a modern lens. Think bold patterns, quirky accessories, and characters that just pop! Bringing Your Scenecore & Kidcore Characters to Life For me, the characters are the heart of these drawings. When I'm brainstorming, I focus on unique features and expressive outfits. Take my latest piece, for example – I loved designing characters with elements like rainbow overalls and striped shirts, just bursting with personality. You can get really creative with hairstyles, adding bright streaks or chunky bangs. And don't forget the accessories! Think studded belts, fingerless gloves, or even animal-inspired features like a cool ringtail or dragon wings, which really add that extra layer of uniqueness. Crafting the Perfect Scenecore Background A great background can totally elevate your scenecore art. I often draw inspiration from retro tech and internet culture. For this drawing, I imagined my characters chilling on a classic retro computer desktop, complete with open Windows applications and even a little doodle in the Paint window. It instantly transports you back to the early 2000s, right? Another fun idea is a super vibrant, almost chaotic background, like a rainbow zebra print, which creates an awesome contrast with your characters. Don't be afraid to experiment with bold patterns and layered elements to get that authentic scenecore vibe. Finding and Using Drawing Bases If you're just starting out or want to improve your character consistency, using a drawing base or body base can be incredibly helpful. You can find tons of free-to-use bases online from other artists, or you can even create your own! I often sketch out a simple pose first to make sure my characters have dynamic stances before adding all the fun details. It’s a great way to practice anatomy and ensure your characters look balanced, whether they're wearing elaborate kidcore outfits or striking a cool scenecore pose. Developing Your Own Scenecore OCs Creating original characters (OCs) in the scenecore style is super rewarding. Think about what makes them unique. Do they have a specific color palette? A signature accessory? Are they a hybrid creature, like a character with a ringtail or dragon wings? Give them a backstory that fits the playful, slightly rebellious vibe of the aesthetic. I love thinking about what kind of world my OCs live in and what their personalities are like – it really helps bring them to life on the canvas. I hope these tips inspire you to pick up your stylus or pencil and start creating your own awesome scenecore and kidcore art! It’s such a fun and expressive style. What are your favorite elements to draw in scenecore or kidcore? Share your thoughts!
