I went to the Supernova Light Fest at Gardens by the Bay. The show only runs on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, so I made sure to catch it during those days. The light show timings are at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, and it gets super crowded, so it’s best to go early if you want a good spot.
If you arrive around 7:30 PM, you might only find space to sit, but if you go earlier, you can actually lie down on the ground and fully enjoy the show. Personally, I think lying down and watching the lights above is the best way to experience it — it feels magical.

Beyond just watching the light show, many visitors are curious about the interior of the Supertree Observatory itself. The Supertree Observatory offers panoramic views of the city skyline and the greenery below, providing a unique blend of nature and urban landscape. If you plan to visit, try to catch sunset views from the top; it’s an unforgettable experience that adds another layer of beauty after the lights dim. The observatory has informative displays about the vertical gardens and the sustainability features of the super trees, which enhance your understanding of how these structures are more than just visual spectacles. When visiting, it is wise to check the opening hours and any ticketing details in advance, as entry to the observatory may have specific timing and capacity limits. Personally, combining the light show with a visit to the observatory made my trip to Gardens by the Bay even more enriching.
