Day 2 of working through a Skillshare class 🫶
Continuing my creative journey on Skillshare, I wanted to share a deeper dive into what it's truly like to learn art online, especially for those wondering, 'Is Skillshare actually worth it?' As someone passionate about art and looking to expand my skills, I decided to dive into their extensive library of creative classes. The flexibility of having online art classes for adults, accessible right from my couch or via the Skillshare app, was a huge draw. Day 2 of my current painting course has been incredibly insightful. I’m focusing on mastering watercolor techniques, something I've always wanted to try. The instructor breaks down complex concepts into manageable steps, which is perfect for someone like me who needs a clear, structured approach. Each lesson comes with practical exercises, encouraging hands-on application rather than just passive viewing. This interactive element is crucial for real skill development in art. Many people search for 'Skillshare creative courses' or 'online art classes for adults' because they're looking for a convenient way to learn. Based on my experience so far, the platform definitely delivers on variety. From digital illustration to traditional painting, calligraphy to photography, there's a creative class for almost every interest. The biggest question, of course, is 'Is Skillshare worth it?' For me, a few aspects make it a strong contender. The high-quality production of many courses, coupled with passionate instructors, makes the learning process enjoyable. There’s also a supportive community aspect, where you can share your work and get feedback, which is fantastic for motivation. However, it's not entirely 'gratuit' – it's a subscription service, though they often have free trial periods, which is how many start exploring. This means you need to be proactive to make the most of your investment. My advice for anyone considering Skillshare: Define Your Goals: Know what you want to learn. With so many creative classes, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Check Instructor Reviews: Not all courses are created equal. Look for highly-rated instructors with good engagement. Commit to Projects: The real learning happens when you apply what you've learned. Don't just watch; create! Use the App: The Skillshare app is incredibly convenient for learning on the go or revisiting lessons. My Day 2 experience confirms that Skillshare offers a rich environment for aspiring artists and anyone looking to boost their creative skills. If you're serious about dedicating time to learning and practicing, then yes, I'd say it's quite worth it. It’s an ongoing process, a true 'work in process' as many artists say, but having such a resource at my fingertips makes the journey exciting and achievable.
