Replying to @user3143955833642 you can use any frosting on Chocolate Wacky Cake but the best is Peanut Butter Frosting!
Peanut Butter Frosting:
1 stick of butter - I always use salted
1/2-1 cup peanut butter - don’t overthink it
1-2 splashes vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt (more if using unsalted butter)
1.5-3 cups powder sugar - how sweet do you want it?
Milk - 1/4ish cup. Just add a little at a time until you get a desirable consistency.
Whip the butter and peanut butter together for a couple minutes using a hand mixer or stand mixer. You can do this by hand it’ll just be a work out 💪🏼
Add the vanilla and salt and mix in well.
Add in the powder sugar. Remember you can always add more so go on the lower end first!
Mix that in, it will get lumpy.
Mix in the milk a little at a time until you get your desired consistency. It should be smooth and silky but hold it’s shape.
If you found it’s not sweet enough, add more powder sugar. Then add more milk if necessary.
Don’t overthink it! Peanut butter frosting is SO forgiving. You can’t mess this up! ☺️

Peanut butter frosting is a versatile and delicious complement to various baked goods, but it truly shines when paired with a Chocolate Wacky Cake. Its creamy texture and rich peanut flavor create a perfect balance with the moist, chocolatey base of the cake. One of the keys to perfecting this frosting is adjusting the powdered sugar and milk to achieve your desired sweetness and consistency. Adding a pinch of salt enhances the flavor, especially when using salted butter, balancing the sweetness with a subtle savory note. For those who prefer a fluffier texture, whipping the frosting for a longer time with a hand or stand mixer can incorporate more air, resulting in a lighter, silkier frosting that holds its shape beautifully. The forgiving nature of peanut butter frosting means it’s almost impossible to mess it up, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced bakers. Besides cakes, this peanut butter frosting also works wonderfully on cupcakes, brownies, and cookies. You can experiment by mixing in chopped peanuts or drizzling melted chocolate over the frosted cake for an added layer of texture and flavor. To keep the frosting fresh, store your finished cake in the fridge, but bring it to room temperature before serving to enjoy the frosting’s creamy softness. This simple recipe encourages creativity: whether you use creamy or chunky peanut butter or try natural peanut butter for a different taste, each variation offers a delicious twist. Remember, peanut butter frosting isn’t just a topping; it’s a treat that enhances every bite with rich flavor and creamy delight, making your baking projects even more enjoyable and shareable.
