Praline Pound Cake
This one right here?
Soft, buttery pound cake with that rich brown sugar flavor… topped with a warm praline glaze loaded with pecans.
It’s giving Sunday dessert, holiday table, and “just one more slice” all at once.
Why this hits every time:
• Moist, tender pound cake
• Deep brown sugar + butter flavor
• Homemade praline glaze with pecans
• That perfect sweet, nutty finish
📝 Recipe (1 loaf or bundt cake)
For the Pound Cake:
* 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
* 2½ cups granulated sugar
* 5 eggs, room temp
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 cup evaporated milk
* 1 tbsp vanilla extract
* ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F and grease your pan.
2. Cream butter & sugar
Beat until light and fluffy (don’t rush this step).
3. Add eggs
One at a time, mixing well after each.
4. Alternate dry + milk
Add flour and evaporated milk in batches. Mix until smooth.
5. Add vanilla + salt
6. Bake
Pour into pan and bake for 1 hr 15–25 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Cool slightly before adding glaze.
Praline Glaze:
* ½ cup brown sugar
* ¼ cup granulated sugar
* ½ cup evaporated milk
* 1 tbsp butter
* 1 tsp vanilla
* ½–1 cup pecan halves
Make the glaze:
Combine everything in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until thickened (about 5–7 minutes). Pour warm over cake.
Tips:
• Don’t overmix once flour is added
• Use room temp ingredients for a smooth batter
• Pour glaze while cake is slightly warm so it soaks in a little.

Wow! This looks absolutely beautiful! The glaze on top looks perfect! I'd definitely need to practice self control to not eat the whole thing!
