Berry Chantilly French Toast
Made this Berry Chantilly French Toast using my go-to challah bread (because we don’t play about soft, rich French toast over here 😌).
This is the kind of breakfast I’d make for Mom; something a little extra, a little sweet, and made with intention. Fresh berries, lightly sweet Chantilly cream, and that golden-buttery toast… it just feels like love on a plate.
Perfect for Mother’s Day brunch or a “breakfast in bed” moment when you really want to show up and show out.
🍞 Ingredients
* Challah bread (thick slices)
* 2 eggs
* 1/2 cup evaporated milk (or whole milk)
* 1 tbsp vanilla extract
* 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
* Butter (for cooking)
Chantilly Cream:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup mascarpone
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
Toppings:
* Strawberries
* Blueberries
* Raspberries
* Powdered sugar
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
2. Dip thick slices of challah bread, coating both sides.
3. Cook in a buttered skillet over medium heat until golden brown (about 2–3 mins each side).
4. For the Chantilly cream: whip heavy cream, mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
5. Plate the French toast, top with berries, add generous scoops of Chantilly cream, and dust with powdered sugar.
💐 Why It’s Meaningful
Breakfast like this isn’t just food; it’s a gesture. Something you take your time with. Something that says “I thought about you.” And honestly… Mom deserves soft bread, fresh berries, and luxury cream energy only.
