Asiago Creamy Baked Onions🧅
Ingredients:📝
Large yellow onions, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch rounds (4)
Olive oil (for drizzling)
Fresh thyme, chopped (1/2 teaspoon)
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)
Heavy cream (1 cup)
Dijon mustard (2 teaspoons)
Asiago cheese, grated (1/2 cup)
Instructions:📍
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. Arrange the onion slices in the baking dish in a single layer, overlapping slightly if needed.
3. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and Dijon mustard until smooth.
5. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the onions.
6. Sprinkle grated Asiago cheese on top.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
8. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15–20 minutes, or until the onions are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
9. Let cool slightly before serving.
