Updated* Last Weekend to Visit SG NIGHT FESTIVAL!🎭

Not to sure where to bring your date to this weekend? Check out the SG night fest after a 2-year hiatus! And here are some tips to get you through the night.

The amount of ground to cover is extensive, so pick your battles. Choose either to explore a certain section of the trail, like Dhoby Ghaut, Canning Hill, Bras Basah, or only 3 exhibits you’re keen in. I chose to explore the area around canning hill, all the way down to National Museum and Armenian Street. Just manage your expectations and don’t hope to cover every single exhibit cause it’s really too much.

There are areas selling food along the way, particularly along Armenian Street and Dhoby Ghaut Green, but I would say go for the latter cause there seems to be more stalls and it has a very cute alfresco kinda vibe. I was too late to any food, but yes you can get your alcohol fix there!

Last but not least, I don’t care if you go Daiso or wherever, pls do yourself a favour and buy a mini fan! The weather has been so rainy these days that it’s super humid, I literally can smell myself stink after the first exhibit. You’ll thank me later I swear!

National Archives of Singapore

... Read moreIf you’re planning your route for the SG Night Festival, consider focusing on specific precincts like Bras Basah, Bugis, or the National Museum area to avoid feeling overwhelmed. The nighttime exhibitions vividly showcase Singapore’s heritage through interactive displays like those at the National Archives and storytelling zones in Forbidden Hill, which add depth to your experience. One of my favorite finds was the 'Voyage' exhibit at Armenian Street, blending history with contemporary art, and the 'Palimpsest' showing tales from past and present. Foodies should definitely check out the diverse stalls along Dhoby Ghaut Green—beyond the cute alfresco vibe, they offer unique local flavors and refreshing drinks to cool down after walking. Also, the impeccable display of street art and creative setups makes great photo opportunities, especially near the Capitol area and Canning Rise. I highly recommend checking the official festival schedule on their website for performance timings and exhibit updates to plan your night effectively. Don’t forget essentials like a portable mini fan or wet wipes to stay comfortable in Singapore's humid weather. Whether you’re on a date, with friends, or exploring solo, the SG Night Festival offers a dynamic and fun way to connect with the city’s culture after dark. Enjoy the uniquely vibrant atmosphere before it wraps up on September 4!

Light to Night 2026: A little quieter this year
Light to Night’s 10th edition is on santai (in Malay) or ‘relax’ mode. This is where you can ‘lepak’ in this cool weather and empty your mind. This year’s edition seems smaller and quieter than the previous editions. But if you are in the area, you can drop by and soak in the vibes. The pho
