Whether you buy a pass through the website or through the cruise line, it’s worth it!
Booking through the cruise line will ensure your transportation from the port to the park and back is covered. You also know you’re making it back to the ship in time because your time WILL fly by.
I typically don’t like long excursions (4+ hours), but this one always fills up every minute. Whether you’re snorkeling or swimming with Dolphins, there are always activities to do afterwards.
Close by is a gift shop and around the entrance they have local shops including certified jewelry and souvenirs.
The sea-lion show is open to all park visitors and happens twice a day. Typically around 10am and 1pm.
After your booked activity, there is also a botanical garden to view. Every time I go to Cozumel, I find something to do at this park (dolphins, snorkeling, manatees, etc).
The tequila will be the best you’ve ever had during the tasting and it’s hard not to take a bottle, but I’ve never felt overly pressured to buy one.

Also, consider trying the manatee encounter if you want a rare and gentle animal encounter. If you’re short on time, the all-inclusive package provides excellent value, including drinks and meals, so you can maximize fun without worrying about extras. It’s worth noting that extra costs like henna tattooing or professional photos are optional but fascinating additions.
