... Read moreOh my gosh, you guys! If you're looking for an absolute blast this Halloween season, you simply have to mark your calendars for HallowFest '25! I've been hearing so much buzz about this year's event, and seriously, it sounds like it's going to be the biggest and best yet. As someone who loves a good car show and anything that involves community spirit, this 3rd Annual HallowFest Car Show & Trunk or Treat at Fireman's Park is definitely on my must-attend list. What makes HallowFest so special, you ask? Well, it's not just about shiny cars – though there will be plenty of those, from classic beauties to custom builds (I'm secretly hoping to spot a cool VW bus like the one I saw in a sneak peek!). It's a full-on festive experience. Imagine strolling around, admiring incredible vehicles, all while kids are happily trick-or-treating from elaborately decorated car trunks. Last year, I saw some amazing trunk or treat setups, complete with zombies, spooky lights, and even a car with a black cat theme! It's such a unique way to celebrate Halloween safely and creatively. Beyond the eye candy, there's a fantastic atmosphere. The live band always sets the perfect upbeat mood, and the raffles are a highlight – who doesn't love the chance to win something cool while supporting a great cause? Speaking of causes, that's really the heart of HallowFest '25. This event is a fundraiser benefiting Charley Gauf, through Charley's Angels. It's such an incredible initiative, and knowing that your $10 car show entry fee goes directly to helping those in need truly makes it feel good to be there. And here's a pro-tip for everyone planning to attend between 12-4 PM on October 25th, 2025: come prepared to give a little extra! In addition to the car show entry, they're collecting donations of food, school supplies, and winter gear. I always try to bring a bag of non-perishables or some gently used coats because it feels so good to contribute beyond just showing up. Think about it – you get to enjoy a fantastic day out, and your small contribution can make a huge difference in someone's life. For families, the Trunk or Treat aspect from 12-4pm is a huge draw. Make sure your little ghouls and goblins are in their best costumes! It’s a safe and fun way for them to collect candies from friendly car enthusiasts. And don't worry about getting hungry – Lakeside 4-H will be there selling food, so you can grab a delicious bite while enjoying the festivities. I'm already dreaming about what kind of awards they'll have this year for the best cars and trunk decorations! Whether you're showcasing your prized vehicle, bringing the kids for trunk or treat, or just want to enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere, HallowFest '25 sounds like an unmissable event. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow car enthusiasts, celebrate the spooky season, and most importantly, support a deserving charity. I can't wait to see you all there!
