Least favorite chore

Okay, let's be real, nobody loves chores. But there's always that one chore that just feels like a constant battle, right? For me, it’s definitely laundry, hands down. While some people dread washing dishes, I find laundry to be the ultimate never-ending task. The minute one load is done, another mountain of colorful clothes seems to appear out of nowhere, filling up the laundry basket again! It’s not just the washing itself, but the sorting, folding, and putting away that really get me. It feels like a chore that never truly gives you a sense of completion. You think you’ve conquered it, and then boom – more dirty socks and shirts! This constant cycle can be incredibly draining, both physically and mentally. It often makes me wonder, 'why do I hate doing laundry so much?' Maybe it's the sheer volume, or perhaps the repetitive nature of it all. Over time, I've tried to find little ways to make this basic chore less painful. For example, I've started doing smaller loads more frequently instead of letting the laundry pile reach epic proportions. This way, it feels less daunting. Another thing that's helped is making it a multi-tasking activity. I'll put on my favorite podcast or a show while I'm folding. It doesn't make the laundry disappear, but it definitely makes the time pass quicker and a bit more enjoyable. Sometimes, just having a designated day for 'clothes washing chore' helps me mentally prepare. And for those of you who find washing dishes your nemesis, I totally get it too! There's something about the grease, the food scraps, and the endless scrubbing that just isn't appealing. My personal hack for dishes is to clean as I go while cooking.
