Card of the Day: Grief

Grief is one of the deepest expressions of love. It arrives in many forms… loss, change, endings, distance, even the version of ourselves we’ve had to leave behind.

Today’s card is a reminder that grief is not something to fix or rush through. It asks to be witnessed, honored, and held with tenderness.

If grief has been moving through your life lately, let this be your permission to soften. To feel. To remember. To ask for support.

You are not behind in your healing.

You are not doing it wrong.

And you do not have to carry it alone. 🤍

... Read moreGrief is often misunderstood as a sign of weakness or something to overcome quickly, but from my personal experience, it’s actually one of the most profound manifestations of love we carry. I recall facing a significant loss some time ago, and the heaviness felt like love that had no outlet. What helped me most was allowing myself to feel grief fully—without judgment or timelines. This aligns perfectly with the reminder from today’s card: grief isn’t something to fix but to witness and hold tenderly. In practical terms, I found creating gentle rituals, like lighting a candle or journaling memories, allowed me to honor my feelings and keep the love alive in a safe way. Importantly, I learned that asking for support was not a weakness but a vital step toward healing. Whether it’s talking to a trusted friend, joining a support group, or consulting a counselor, sharing the burden lightened the weight of grief. Healing from grief is unique to everyone; you are neither behind nor doing it wrong. The card’s message that you don’t have to carry grief alone truly resonated with my journey. Accepting this allowed me to soften rigid expectations and embrace the ebb and flow of emotions without rush. If you’re navigating grief now, remember it is love with nowhere to go—honor it with tenderness and patience. Your feelings matter, and your healing is valid and meaningful. You are supported more than you realize.

I wrote my way through grief
I didn’t write to move on. I wrote because I didn’t know how else to hold what I was feeling. Grief showed up in waves — sometimes soft, sometimes flooring. And my journal became the only place I didn’t have to pretend I was okay. I could rage. I could whisper. I could ask the questions that
