Reframing in Real Time

It’s stressful running a small business - things happen. Things like a 2,100 lb order of salt showing up 5 days earlier than scheduled & 30 mins before the next guest shows up!

✨ Cue adrenal glands ✨

Floating regularly helps with the stress management & overall the next way to handle unpredictable situations! Instead of freaking out - I called my husband to come in and lend a hand! And right after that call - I GOT TO WORK!

By the end of this impromptu workout - I felt like a millions bucks. My blood was pumping & I felt so accomplished! It was feeling like the hulk but without any of the anger! Not to mention we got a visit from our fave puppy resident Otis!

It’s all how you frame it.

... Read moreRunning a small business can be incredibly challenging, especially when unexpected events occur. A sudden delivery like a 2,100 lb order of salt can feel overwhelming, but how you respond can make all the difference. Stress management techniques such as floating therapy or sensory deprivation have been shown to help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation. During these demanding moments, calling in support from friends or family can transform a potential crisis into a team effort, ultimately fostering resilience and camaraderie. Balancing work and well-being is crucial. Incorporating regular exercise into your routine, even if it’s a spontaneous workout, can boost your mood and enhance your productivity. Engaging in physical activity releases endorphins, which can lead to feelings of accomplishment and happiness. Taking brief breaks to play with a pet can also serve as a wonderful stress relief, allowing you to recharge and return to your tasks with renewed energy. In times of stress, adopting a positive mindset is essential. By reframing the way we perceive challenges, we can navigate the complexities of running a business with grace and ease. Embrace the flow of unexpected events—often, they lead to the most memorable moments in our entrepreneurial journeys. Consider exploring local resources such as Saha Float Spa, which offers relaxation therapies that could further enhance your stress management practices.
