This means going to church regularly, reciting prayers, or even sharing scripture, but not fully engaging our hearts and lives with God daily. The difference between being lukewarm and truly passionate about faith often lies in the quality of our personal relationship with Jesus rather than religious rituals. One practical way I found to overcome lukewarm faith was by setting aside quiet moments each day for prayer and meditation on God's word rather than only relying on Sunday services. This helped me shift from simply wanting God's blessings to yearning for His presence throughout every day. Deepening prayer life became less about asking and more about listening and connecting. Another important insight is to avoid treating faith as a checkmark on the to-do list. It’s easy to just 'go through the motions'—reading scripture or attending gatherings without allowing those experiences to transform our hearts. Through my own experiences, I learned that Jesus is not expecting perfection, only a heart that genuinely seeks and yearns for Him. This reminds us faith is about relationship over routine, and that God desires to draw close to us if we choose to draw near to Him sincerely.
