Additionally, creating a calm environment by reducing noise, bright lights, and clutter can help soothe the heightened senses. Another useful approach is to schedule regular breaks during busy or stimulating activities, allowing the brain to reset and preventing buildup of sensory stress. Using noise-canceling headphones or focusing on soft music that produces gentle color patterns in my synesthetic vision helps maintain a pleasant sensory balance. Overall, embracing synesthesia’s uniqueness while proactively managing overstimulation enables a richer, more comfortable sensory experience.
