今回、歯科検診のご褒美でもらった「キシリトールの歯磨きタブレット（ストロベリー味）」が想像以上にうれしくて、しばらくハマってます。私は“甘いものを我慢する虫歯予防”が苦手なので、「おいしく楽しみながらケアできる」のが続けやすいポイントでした。 私の使い方はシンプルで、外出先で歯みがきが難しいときの“つなぎ”として舐めています。食後すぐに歯ブラシできないタイミングって意外と多いので、そういう時に口の中がスッキリするだけでも気分が変わります。もちろんタブレット＝歯みがきの代わりではないので、家に帰ったら普通にブラッシング＋できる日はフロスも、という流れにしています。 選ぶときに私が気にするのは、まず「キシリトール配合」と、できれば“キシリトールがメイン甘味料”になっているか（他の糖類が多いと不安なので）。あと味は好みが分かれるので、最初は少量パックがあると失敗しにくいです。今回のストロベリー味は食後のデザート感があって、続けるモチベが上がりました。 歯医者さんでもらえた歯ブラシも地味に助かります。私は検診のたびに歯ブラシを新しいものに替える“交換のタイミング”を作るようにしていて、結果的にダラダラ使い続けるのを防げています。こういう「お口の健康手帳」みたいに通院の記録が残ると、次の予約（私の場合は4ヶ月後）も忘れにくいです。 それと大事なのが保管。キシリトールはワンちゃんにとって危険なので、うちは絶対に犬の届かない棚の上＋フタ付きケースに入れています。バッグに入れっぱなしにすると、いつの間にか床に落ちて…が怖いので、帰宅したら定位置に戻すルールにしました。 ちなみに「ヨーグルトの緑のパッケージ」みたいな“なんとなく体に良さそう”系の間食を選ぶ日もあるんですが、甘い間食を食べた日は特に口の中をリセットしたくなるので、タブレットの出番が増えました。無理なく続ける工夫として、私は「外ではタブレット、家では丁寧に歯みがき」という役割分担がいちばん合っています。
