Then vs Now
I am always fascinated with how our hair changes throughout the years. My color is natural in these pictures. Not to say it was never unnatural! I spent most years (age 16-30) being bleach blonde or some random bright color. After many years of of that, I’m so much happier with my natural hair now! It’s healthy, and as a color analyst, I must say… it looks just right 😄 #colorandnaturalhair #naturalhaircolor #growingoutmyhair #thenandnow #1999 #childhood #coloranalysis Boston
The evolution of hair color during our lives can be both a personal journey and a reflection of changing trends. Many individuals experience phases of experimentation, often resorting to bleach and vibrant colors in their teenage years, and later transitioning to more natural hues. This shift often coincides with a broader understanding of hair health and well-being. In the 1990s, bold hair statements, such as bangs and bright colors, were popular among youth. Hairstyles signified personal identity and were heavily influenced by pop culture and celebrity trends. Years later, as individuals mature and prioritize hair health, many choose to embrace their natural hair color. When moving toward natural choices, it's important to focus on nourishment and care. Utilizing proper hair products, maintaining a balanced diet, and avoiding excessive heat styling are key practices for sustaining the health of natural hair. Color analysis plays a significant role here, helping individuals determine the shades that best complement their skin tones. Engaging with online communities, sharing experiences, or learning from beauty professionals can provide further insights into the journey of hair transformation. Whether you're reminiscing about past styles or celebrating your current look, acknowledging the progress and the choices made along the way can enhance your relationship with your hair.
