i just saved you a 5hr flight to Hangzhou

the queue for this was literally insane— are Singaporeans addicted to queuing???

we came around 4+ thinking we were early bc the opening hours for dinner was from 5pm but there was already a queue formed 😵‍💫 finally got in at about 7+ WE WERE STARVINGGGGG

my honest opinion: food was good but was it a 3hr-wait worthy kind of good, I don’t think so but gotta try it once ig

... Read moreIf you're considering visiting Longjing for their famous Zhejiang cuisine, I’d recommend going with realistic expectations about the wait times and dining experience. From my visit, queues can start forming well before opening hours, so arriving early doesn’t guarantee a short wait. The popularity is clearly driven by a combination of curiosity and the hype of being one of the first places to offer authentic Zhejiang dishes in Singapore. The menu showcases classic Zhejiang favorites like Longjing shrimp and other regional specialties, but portion sizes can be small relative to the wait. For fans of Chinese cuisine, it's definitely interesting to try the distinctive flavors, but I wouldn’t say it’s a daily must-visit spot. Also, the restaurant atmosphere feels quite bustling – not the most relaxed dining setting after standing in line for hours. If you want to avoid the queues, consider visiting on a weekday or during less peak dining hours. Overall, Longjing is a culinary experience that’s worth trying once, especially if you're a foodie keen on Zhejiang dishes. But keep in mind the hype vs. reality—good food, but maybe not quite a 3-hour wait good, at least in my personal view.

Hangzhou Matcha Lake!!
The matcha lake (Qingshan Lake) is about a one-hour drive from Hangzhou city centre and is definitely a must-see when you’re in Hangzhou! I took a Didi there and the driver was shocked by the distance and clearly was not happy about it 😮‍💨 Tickets are around $6–$7 and can be bought on the spot.

Hangzhou’s Viral Matcha Lake (Qingshan Lake)
If you’re planning a trip to Hangzhou , here’s my honest experience visiting the viral Matcha Lake, also known as Qingshan Lake (青山湖). The lake looks like a cup of matcha — soft, milky green water within a partially submerged forest. We visited in winter, about two hours before closing, and it

so when you’re in china you just gotta try TCM here and it’s the best. I went to 同於德中医 in Hangzhou and Valine in Shanghai 🇨🇳 FIRST reason - MUCH CHEAPER. 🥹 you book your appointments or find deals on Dianping (discount app) then just message them, go there and claim your voucher. SECOND r
