Next level legday 🔐
Leg day workouts can often be hit or miss depending on the exercises and intensity you bring to each session. From my experience, integrating compound movements like Smith squats really targets your quads and glutes while providing added stability compared to traditional squats. I’ve found setting 4 sets of 8-10 reps ideal for muscle growth and strength gains. Hip thrusts have become a staple in my routine because they isolate the glutes exceptionally well. Performing 4 sets of 10-12 reps with moderate weight engages those often-underworked muscles, which improves overall leg power and aesthetics. In addition, hamstring curls and abduction movements complement your workout by addressing muscle imbalances and enhancing mobility. Using machines like the Cybex for hamstring curls helps safely isolate and strengthen the posterior chain. One valuable tip I've learned: don’t rush the reps. Controlled tempo, focusing on muscle contraction, yields better results than speed. Also, resting about 60-90 seconds between sets strikes a good balance between strength and hypertrophy training. Including motivational cues or phrases like 'Beastified' can mentally prepare you to push through challenging sets. Keeping the workout fresh and challenging ensures continuous progress on leg day, making it truly 'next level.'
