Healing my relationship with food

God has been calling me to fix my health, and I’ve been praying on it as well. In an attempt to save money and have a better understanding of what I put in my body, I’ve began cooking my own food.

I know, I know it’s weird that this is new to me, but to be honest it’s not new, I’ve just been ashamed to cook for myself cause I feel like I can’t do things… crazy right.

... Read moreEating is a fundamental aspect of our lives, and how we relate to food can significantly affect our mental and physical health. Many people struggle with their relationship with food, often tied to emotional factors and societal pressures. Cooking at home not only ensures you know what’s in your meals but also provides a creative outlet and fosters a sense of accomplishment. Engaging in this practice can also lead to healthier eating habits. For those who feel ashamed or intimidated by cooking, it's important to start small and build confidence. Simple recipes can be the gateway to experimenting with new ingredients and flavors. Mindful eating is another concept that can complement this journey. Paying attention to hunger cues and savoring meals can enhance your relationship with food, making eating a more joyful experience rather than a source of guilt or stress. With practice, cooking and eating can become enjoyable rituals that nurture both body and soul.
