Starbucks is making baristas follow a conservative dress code - a huge change from what’s currently policy, and wasn’t bargained for with our union. That means many workers have to buy all-new wardrobes out of pocket while limiting expression through outfits and makeup - and legally needs to be bargained with workers. Baristas at the Seattle Roastery marched together as a union to confront their unreceptive management and demand they also address lack of hours and staffing. If Starbucks isn’t listening, we’ll keep taking action until they do.

As a former Starbucks employee starbucks has always had some form of "dress code" which has always been pretty lax. Just because they are requiring you to wear a more "uniform" dress code that probably also follows food health and safety regulations isnt uncalled for by Starbucks. You also seem to forget that it is a huge corporation so there will always be a disconnect to the partners that are there day in and day out in these locations. What I don't understand is why the workplace is supposed to be the environment for self expression, work is a place you get paid to perform jobs/tasks. Self expression is for your free time. You are still an individual even if you have to wear a uniform, which most places of employment require. The lack of staffing is definitely something to continue to bring to light but the uniform is such an i significant thing to be worked up about.

work at a different coffee shop and boom your worries would be completed. open your own coffee shop and boom . your whining is corrected and no worries for you. useless bitching is complete non anf void. transitioning and extra testostrone running threw your vains. i would of assumed less bitchiness and more work. i would guess
