From my experience, the word 'poser' felt more straightforward and less toxic—it identified someone pretending without necessarily dismissing their passion. One issue with the new usage of 'larp' is that it can shut down conversations before they even begin. Fans are hesitant to share unpopular opinions for fear of being labeled negatively. This environment can stifle fan creativity and genuine expression.
