Our congregations and families can be gathering places where we cheer each other on.

Cheering Each Other On

First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency

Only the Lord fully knows our individual limitations and capacity, and because of that, He is the only one fully qualified to judge our performance. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2025/10/32dennis?lang=eng

... Read moreThroughout my experience attending gatherings and meetings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I've found that the sense of community is truly uplifting. The idea that congregations and families are spaces where we can cheer each other on resonates deeply. It creates a close-knit environment where empathy and encouragement are at the forefront. One important aspect I've noticed is the compassionate perspective shared by Sister J. Anette Dennis, who reminds us that only the Lord fully understands each person's unique challenges and capacities. This approach encourages patience and kindness, rather than judgment, fostering a supportive atmosphere where individuals feel valued despite imperfections. Personally, participating in Relief Society activities and family gatherings has reinforced my understanding of mutual support. These moments allow us to uplift one another through prayers, kind words, and shared experiences. I've often felt a renewed sense of strength after such interactions, motivated by the genuine care evident in the community. Furthermore, recognizing our individual limitations while striving for personal growth aligns with the teachings emphasized in this faith. It promotes a healthy balance of self-acceptance and continual improvement, which cultivates resilience and hope. In sum, the Church’s message that our congregations and families serve as places to encourage one another has profoundly impacted my spiritual journey. It’s a reminder that faith is not only about individual devotion but also about collective encouragement—cheering each other on through life's ups and downs.
