God still loves is after all our mistakes

One of the hardest things to believe sometimes is that God still loves us fully after all our mistakes.

We replay old regrets.

We carry guilt longer than we should.

We wonder if we’ve failed too many times, drifted too far, or disappointed God beyond repair.

But this verse speaks so gently into those fears:

“For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.”

God is not reluctant to show mercy.

He is not waiting for you to become perfect before coming close again.

His grace was never meant only for the moments when you feel spiritually strong.

It’s for the tired seasons too.

The messy seasons.

The moments where your faith feels weak and your heart feels heavy.

Sometimes we are harder on ourselves than God ever is.

The enemy wants you to believe your mistakes define you. That shame should keep you distant from God. But Scripture reminds us over and over that His love is greater than our failures.

God already knows every part of your story — every regret, every hidden struggle, every moment you wish you could redo — and He still invites you to come to Him.

Not with fear.

Not with perfection.

But with honesty.

There is something deeply comforting about knowing we serve a God who is “ready to forgive.” Not annoyed by our need for grace. Not impatient with our healing process. But full of compassion and loving kindness.

So if you’ve been carrying guilt lately, let this verse remind you:

God’s mercy is still available today.

His grace is still enough today.

And His love for you has not changed. 🤍

... Read moreReflecting on my own spiritual journey, I've found that accepting God's forgiveness often comes with challenges, especially when we hold our past mistakes close and replay them in our minds. What has helped me most is embracing the truth found in Psalms 86:5: “For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.” This verse has become a beacon of hope during times when I felt weighed down by guilt and shame. It’s important to recognize that God’s grace is not reserved for times when we feel strong or spiritually accomplished. In fact, grace meets us precisely in our weak, tired, and messy seasons. When I struggled to feel worthy of God’s love, I learned that He is not keeping tally of our failures, but instead offers compassion and loving kindness that surpasses our understanding. One personal breakthrough came when I stopped trying to hide my imperfections and instead approached God with honesty—acknowledging my struggles without fear or pretense. This authenticity transformed my relationship with Him, turning guilt into healing and distance into closeness. The enemy often tries to convince us that our mistakes define us and that we must carry shame forever. Yet scripture reminds us that God’s forgiveness is ready and willing, never reluctant or impatient. Remembering this helped me to release burdens I had carried for years, trusting that God's love remains constant, regardless of my past. If you find yourself caught in a cycle of regret and self-criticism, take heart in knowing that God's mercy remains available today. His grace is sufficient, and His love has not changed. Turning to Him with an open and honest heart can bring peace and renewal in ways we often don’t expect.
