... Read moreHealing is a deeply personal journey, and over time, I've found that it transforms not just how we think but how we feel and interact with the world around us. One of the most significant shifts I experienced was learning to be kinder to myself. This meant acknowledging my imperfections without harsh judgment and giving myself grace during tough moments. I used to admire and even strive for constant busyness, glorifying exhaustion as a sign of productivity or dedication. But healing helped me see that this mindset only drained my spirit and ignored the importance of balance. Now, I cherish peace and deliberately protect my energy by setting clear boundaries. Whether that means saying no to social engagements that don’t serve me or taking quiet time to recharge, these choices are vital for my well-being. Emotionally, I’ve become softer and more receptive, allowing myself to experience feelings fully without repression or fear. Importantly, the guilt I once felt about resting has dissolved—I recognize that rest is a crucial part of healing and growth rather than a luxury or weakness. This process is ongoing, and each step forward requires patience and self-compassion. For anyone navigating healing, remember that it's okay to prioritize yourself and that doing so enriches all parts of your life. The concept of “Seasons of Hérr,” which I’ve drawn inspiration from, reminds me that just like nature, we too go through phases of change, growth, and renewal. Embracing these changes allows us to live more authentically and peacefully.
