Spent 2025 with too many apps. These 5 made the cut. Number 3 changed my nights.

7/2 Edited to

... Read moreAfter trying countless apps throughout 2025, I realized that quality over quantity truly matters when it comes to digital tools. Let me share why these five apps made the cut for me and how number 3 — Selfletter — revolutionized my nighttime routine. Notion became my command center for everything work-related. Its versatile note-taking, project tracking, and team collaboration features helped me stay organized amidst a busy schedule. I found that having all meeting notes, docs, and plans consolidated in one place drastically reduced mental clutter. Duolingo, while seemingly just a language app, became a fun daily ritual rather than a daunting task. The quirky owl mascot kept me engaged, and these short, daily lessons provided a refreshing mental break — even if the owl sometimes felt a bit intimidating! Selfletter was the game changer. Writing tiny letters to my future self each night cultivated a sense of mindfulness and reflection. It felt like a gentle pause that helped me process the day and calm my racing thoughts before sleep. Being able to read the previous night’s letter the next evening added a meaningful continuity to this practice. Calm was the only app that could actually quiet my 1am overthinking. Its guided meditations and soothing music tracks were essential for managing anxiety and ensuring restful nights. I especially appreciated its curated programs focused on stress relief and self-esteem enhancements. Lastly, Pinterest became my digital scrapbook, saving ideas and inspirations that define my personality. Whether it was decor ideas, creative projects, or motivational quotes, Pinterest visually organized everything I love and wanted to revisit. Cutting down to these five apps wasn’t just about freeing up phone space; it was about curating a digital environment that enhances wellbeing and productivity. If you’re overwhelmed by too many apps, I highly recommend trying a similar declutter and seeing which apps truly add value to your daily life.
