Now i definitely was judging this book by its cover.
Why is Dream so funny!!? Because i would also be in shock from this meeting. Her brother irks me because you caused all of this and the fact that you went and told your father instead of hers.. like you knew her father would have killed you so why are you acting like he wouldn’t 😂
I love Demon and how he’s so confused on his feelings but knows HE WANTS DREAM!! I am loving how he’s trying to get back on her good side wow!! this is a MANNNN. I just love how he’s trying for her even though he has never done anything like this. I love how the finally came together and that epilogue was perfect.
Her sister Dayana is slowly becoming my favorite and SMOKEEE. That’s tea for meeee because he obviously want her. I also hate their dad because wtf. OMGGG Smoke(Cartier) is the real deal like he said NOT ON MY WATCH at this wedding. i was smiling so hard because thank the lord somebody stopped it.
It’s crack in this book because whatttt. I read this book in 3 days and wow it was amazing. Every word was necessary which is insane for 750 pages. But she could have wrote a 2000 page book because i’m obsessed.
... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my initial thoughts, but let me really dive into why 'Demon's Dream' by Elle Kayson earned every single one of its 5 stars from me. Holding my Kindle, engrossed in all 750 pages, I truly felt like I was living alongside Demon and Dream.
First off, the character development in this book is just *chefs kiss*. Dream isn't your typical damsel; she's got wit and a spark that makes her incredibly relatable and, yes, hilarious! Her reactions to the escalating chaos around her, especially involving her brother, felt so real. And Demon? Oh, Demon. Watching him grapple with feelings he clearly didn't anticipate was a journey in itself. He starts off with this tough exterior, but Elle Kayson masterfully peels back the layers, revealing a man who, despite his confusion, knows exactly what he wants when it comes to Dream. Their push-and-pull, the undeniable chemistry, and his persistent efforts to win her over? That's the kind of romance I live for!
And let's talk about the supporting cast, because they are anything but minor. Dayana, Dream's sister, and Smoke (Cartier) bring their own brand of fire to the story. Their dynamic adds another layer of intrigue and, honestly, keeps you guessing. The family drama woven throughout the narrative is complex and drives so much of the plot forward. It's not just a backdrop; it's intricately tied into why these characters are who they are and how their destinies intertwine.
Now, 750 pages might seem daunting on a paperback or e-reader, but trust me, it flies by. Every word serves a purpose. This isn't a story rushed into a neat little package; it's an epic tale that allows for deep character exploration, intricate plotlines, and a truly satisfying resolution. You get to witness every agonizing decision, every tender moment, and every explosive confrontation. It’s like getting a full, immersive experience rather than just a glimpse. For anyone looking for a romance novel that truly lets you settle in and get lost, this is it.
If you're like me and constantly searching for your next great romance read, or even looking through 'best romance app' lists, then 'Demon's Dream' should absolutely be on your radar. It’s got all the elements: compelling characters, gripping drama, laugh-out-loud moments, and a love story that will make your heart ache in the best way possible. Elle Kayson has crafted a world and a relationship that sticks with you long after you've read the final word. It's not just a book; it's an experience. Don't hesitate – pick up your copy, whether it's the paperback or on your Kindle, and prepare to be obsessed!
