Making a career move but the question is which one

2024/9/17 Edited to

... Read moreThinking about a career move is an exciting yet daunting prospect. Whether you're drawn to healthcare or technology, exploring your interests is vital. For instance, if you're considering roles like a NICU nurse, it's important to understand the qualities that define such dedicated professionals—compassion, advocacy, and a passion for helping others are key traits. Similarly, if data-driven work appeals to you, understanding imaging techniques such as MRI and PET scans can open doors in medical technology fields. It's essential to reflect on your values, skills, and long-term goals, as these will inform your ideal career path. Engaging with professionals in your desired fields and seeking mentorship can provide valuable insights. Participate in online forums like #letschat to connect with others navigating similar transitions. Remember, every career journey is unique, and taking the time to explore options ensures you make a choice that resonates with your personal and professional aspirations.

Just make sure if you do Nicu that your heart is 100% in it. We had a couple of AMAZING nurses, but most of our nurses sucked. A 26 day stay with almost new nurses every shift = just under 50 nurses because we had some repeats, and I remember like 3 of them being exceptional.
