Sephora sale purchase
I try not to spend too much on the Sephora sale, but my husband got me this for an early Mother’s Day gift because I’m a major perfume collector. I haven’t tried any of these perfumes before, and honestly, they’re all so good. I’m going to have such a hard time choosing which one to use the full si

What I eat in a day
Today was a lot of meal prep meals. I started with a wild blueberry baked oatmeal. I honestly love doing big batches of baked oatmeal and then having them for 3-4 days. Then I had vegetable soup that I meal prepped a while ago and froze in giant cubes and then tried a chicken piccata meatball recip

Salmon with pasta
I try to eat salmon as often as I can which is usually when it’s on sale. I got this at Costco this week. I baked it with lots of seasonings and lemon and put it on top of a gluten free pasta with a lemon caper cream sauce. This was such a good dinner. Will definitely be making again #dinnerrecipe

My favorite cheat meal
Baked Mac and cheese has always been one of my favorites. With celiac disease, it’s been hard to develop a good recipe. But this one is my favorite. I use chickpea pasta because I find it bakes out well and I make a cheese sauce with lactose free milk, cowboy butter seasoning, gluten free flour, an

Roasted sweet potatoes and grilled tilapia
This is a meal we have on repeat. I get whole tilapia from Costco really cheap ($8-$12 for a pack of two large whole fish) and we grill it with lemon and sea salt. With it, we do some sort of salsa. Tonight was mango. All I do for that is dice 2 mangos, half an onion, a bell pepper, and a cup of ci

Stewed mussels
This is a favorite at my house. I start by carmelizing onions, leeks, and garlic in olive oil with some sea salt. Then we add a lot of butter, lemon, and some kale and the mussels and cover with a lid so the mussels and kale can steam. I then take the mussels out of their shells and stir back into

What I eat in a day
This is sort of a typical “what I eat in a day”. I have celiac and a lot of other issues, so I’m gluten and lactose free and I try to focus on foods that can support me where I’m at in my cycle week to week. Yesterday I started with gluten free waffles (Vicky cakes has the best mix), turkey bacon,

Have dinner with me
Tonight we grilled a pork loin with an herby crust (Dijon, red pepper flakes, garlic, sea salt, parsley, etc) and served it over gluten free spaghetti with a homemade Alfredo sauce that I added kale, leeks, and onions too. This was such a good dinner and fits right in with supporting my cycle with

Dense bean salad
I’m a big fan of beans, and they’re great for basically any part of your cycle. For this one, I did cannellini beans with roasted cauliflower, crispy leeks, cilantro, green onion, olive oil and lemon juice. Almost every ingredient is a luteal phase super food for balancing and supporting hormones.

My favorite luteal phase breakfast
I’m not that great at meal prep, but this is an easy one because it’s just a batch of muffins. I used the recipe off the back of the King Arthur oat flour and just tweaked it a bit by doing apples and dates instead of blueberries (both are a super food for the luteal phase to support hormones) and

Steak, chimichurri, sweet potatoes, and veg
I am huge on getting in a good amount of iron from my food during the luteal phase because I’m just basically chronically anemic from a variety of problems. I did the steak on the grill with a herby chimichurri (very non traditional. I did cilantro, green onion, garlic, chives, red pepper flakes, l

Pineapple mango beef tacos
This is one of my favorite easy cycle syncing recipes for the luteal phase. I use lean ground beef with gluten free taco seasoning (I have celiac so everything is gluten free here) on a corn tortilla with an easy pineapple mango salsa. Pineapple and mango are great foods for your luteal phase to he

Has this been your experience?
I’ve done a ton of different jobs in my life from food service to retail to engineering, and throughout all of them, one thing was super obvious. The more likable someone was, the better they ended up doing as far as success at that job and even if someone was perfect at their job, if management di

It keeps happening to me
I keep randomly getting this worry that something bad is going to happen. It happens randomly, but usually when I’m actually having a good day or enjoying myself. It feels almost like this intrusive fear that because I feel good and everything is going well that it’s overdue for something bad to ha

Am I overthinking this?
I believe the original saying was “ignorance is bliss” and that definitely applies to what I mean here. Like when someone says something to you that hurts your feelings. If it’s an off handed comment and you don’t understand why they said it, it doesn’t hurt as bad as understanding that they said i

I like to enjoy the little things
Whenever I feel down, I like to try to find something small to just give me that little bit of a serotonin boost for the rest of the day. For me, it’s just really small things that tend to make a big difference. Going outside for ever just a little bit (especially when it’s really nice outside) is
