We fall in love with potential

... Read moreIn the journey of self-discovery and relationships, we frequently romanticize the potential within others. This tendency can stem from a deep desire to see the good in people and to hope for their growth and transformation. However, it's essential to differentiate between what we hope they can become and their current realities. As we construct idealized versions of them in our minds, we may overlook the signs they present about their true selves. Each letdown and disappointment serves as a reminder that potential without action is merely fantasy. Rather than investing in illusions, embracing the truth about ourselves and others is vital. This honesty not only fosters healthier relationships but also strengthens our self-respect. When we acknowledge the reality in front of us, we protect our peace from patterns of repeated heartbreak. The journey isn't about molding someone into what we want; it's about appreciating them for who they are and recognizing when it's time to let go for our own wellbeing. Remember, the true path to healing lies in loving ourselves first, understanding that we deserve authentic connections based on reality rather than potential.

❤️ yourself... It can be a long hard road to find yourself trust me... And I never believed in therapy though 1 my closest friends for almost 39 years has pushed it for years.. It can help you just have to FINALLY be willing!!! I can recall more conversations than I can count.. And repeatedly told her NO... Probably has saved me... Just my 2 cents worth 🥰

Amen ❤️ we have to start learning who they could be isn't who they're and until THEY change step on... Just because you are able to see the true potential a person could have or be doesn't mean you EVER will...
