First time doing encapsulation (how I did it ⬇️)
-Each nail starts with a glue on tip (I used Una Gella stiletto tips and shaped them into tapered square), base coat, cure it, then foil glue to give it a tacky surface. Cure it.
-Next I took a wax tip gem grabber and place each hexagonal piece of glitter (glitter I found on Amazon) one by on until they fill up the entire nail, leaving a bit of room around the sides of the nail so they can be completely covered by gel.
-Next I took Ibd clear hard gel and place a bead on the center of the nail and slowly work it around until all the pieces of glitter and the nail covered and the gel it. (They shouldn’t move around because the foil glue holds them in place.) Cure it.
-Next I lightly files to smooth out the surface and remove any glitter bits poking through.
-Last step I top coat it (I used Red Carpet Nails Gel Top Coat) making sure to cap the free edge to prevent any chipping. Cure and it’s done!
One hand Took me 3.5 hours 😅 so today I’m finishing the other side lol. I got the inspiration for this set from watching a youtube tutorial by Suzie from Nail Career Education.
What do you think? Did it turn out alright?
