the buffalo cauliflower bites everyone begs me to make..
These buffalo cauliflower bites are my favorite spicy snack.. crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in the perfect buttery‑hot buffalo sauce. They taste like a lighter, veggie‑forward version of boneless wings, but still have that same addictive heat and crunch.
Tips & Tricks:
1. add 1-2 cups of panko to the batter for extra crisp
2. don’t overcrowd the pan or airfryer
3. Toss in sauce while they’re hot (it will stick better)
4. Pop them back in for a few extra minutes after saucing to “set” the coating.
Pairs well with: ranch or blue cheese, celery sticks, salads, wraps, or even a grain bowl for a full meal.
Ingredients:
One large cauliflower (cut into bite sized florets)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water (or milk)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
salt & pepper
For the buffalo sauce:
1/2 cup hot sauce
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
1. In a bowl, whisk together: flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt & pepper.. then add water and whisk until smooth.
2. Toss the florets in the batter until evenly coated.
3. Cook in the airfryer at 390 for 12-15 minutes (shaking halfway through) or bake them on parchment at 425 in oven for 30 minutes (flipping halfway through)
4. While the cauliflower cook, use a small saucepan to make the buffalo sauce. Add in hot sauce, butter, honey, and garlic salt .. stirring continuously until melted and incorporated.
5. Once cauliflower have finished cooking toss them in the buffalo sauce (optional: but if you want them extra crispy return to cooking for an additional 3-5 minutes.
