Here are my top 5 things I don’t particularly enjoy, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything else because being a mom is priceless. Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there who always put others first! 💖

It's so true, isn't it? Motherhood is this incredible journey filled with so much love, joy, and those 'pinch me' moments. But alongside all that magic, there are definitely those unglamorous bits that make you wonder if you're the only one feeling a certain way. I totally get it – my original post touched on a few of these, and it's comforting to know we're all in this together, navigating the beautiful chaos. Let's dive a little deeper into some of those daily realities. Take toy clutter, for instance. One minute the living room is tidy, the next it looks like a toy factory exploded! It's not just the mess; it's the constant battle against it, the tripping hazards, and the feeling that you're forever picking things up. I've tried all sorts of storage solutions, but sometimes it feels like a losing game. It’s hard to keep everything perfectly organized when little hands are constantly exploring. Then there's the emotional hurdle of letting go of memory-filled toys/clothes. Oh, the tiny onesies and worn-out rattles! Each item holds a story, a memory of a fleeting stage. Decluttering feels like saying goodbye to a piece of their babyhood, and it can be surprisingly tough. How do you decide what to keep and what to pass on without feeling a pang of guilt or nostalgia? I often find myself holding up a tiny shoe, remembering that first step, and then it goes back into the 'maybe keep' pile! And can we talk about those crazy bursts of energy? My little ones can go from zero to a hundred in seconds! While their enthusiasm is infectious, keeping up can be utterly exhausting. You're constantly on the go, playing chase, mediating sibling squabbles, and just trying to ensure no one breaks a limb. It’s a workout in itself, and by bedtime, I’m usually more worn out than they are! The constant cleanups are another one that never seems to end. Spilled milk, crayon on the walls, crumbs everywhere – it’s a never-ending cycle. Just when you've wiped down the kitchen, someone's made a new masterpiece on the floor. It feels like you're constantly cleaning up after a tiny tornado, and sometimes you just want to sit down for five minutes without spotting another mess. Finally, the epic saga of nap resistance. Oh, the battles waged over naps! You know they need it, you crave that quiet time yourself, but they have other plans. The crying, the climbing out of the crib, the endless calls for water or another story. A successful nap feels like a victory, a failed one can derail the whole afternoon. It's truly one of the most frustrating parts of the day for many moms. But here’s the thing I always come back to: despite these daily struggles – the clutter, the emotional goodbyes to baby items, the boundless energy, the endless messes, and the naptime standoffs – every single one is intertwined with the immense love we have for our children. These challenges are just part of the beautiful, messy, and absolutely priceless journey of being a mom. So, to all the incredible moms out out there, know that you’re not alone in these feelings. We’re doing an amazing job!
