Obedience Binds Us To The Will Of God
You don’t hold your relationship with God together. Jesus already secured that through the cross. That part isn’t fragile.
But how you live still matters. Obedience is what keeps your life aligned with His will.
From my personal journey, I've found that obedience is truly the bridge between knowing God's will and living it out daily. It’s one thing to hold faith in your heart, but quite another to act on the promptings of the Spirit, especially when they challenge comfort zones or prior plans. There were moments when I hesitated—wondering if obedience meant giving up something precious or stepping into the unknown. However, what became clear is that obedience isn’t about restriction; it's about opening doors that never respond to mere desire or intention alone. As the article's reflection on "doors to God" illustrates, these doors swing wide only through obedience. By choosing to obey, I noticed subtle yet profound shifts: peace that wasn’t dependent on circumstances, a deeper understanding of God’s voice beyond just theory, and a liberation from stubbornness that held me back. It reshaped how I perceive challenges—not as barriers but as invitations into a closer walk with God. Also, the idea that obedience "makes room for what rebellion has blocked" resonated strongly with me. In resisting certain aspects of God’s guidance, I was unknowingly creating walls to the intimacy I yearned for. Taking steps toward obedience, even when difficult, transformed those walls into pathways. For anyone feeling the pull of God on their heart but wrestling with hesitation, I encourage you to lean into obedience. It’s not about perfection but progress, about responding to God’s invitation with trust, knowing that He has already secured the relationship through Jesus. What remains is our response in faith that unlocks the realities of His kingdom in our daily lives.
