Starting a BTO renovation can be both exciting and daunting, especially when you decide to take on the project yourself as a carpenter. Having a clear floor plan helps optimize space and ensures all household needs are met. Air-conditioning ledges and service yards are often overlooked but require early consideration for installation and maintenance access. Paying attention to the positioning of bathrooms and shelters also impacts overall comfort and household flow. Carpentry skills allowed me to customize cabinetry and storage solutions that suit my lifestyle, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. If you’re undertaking a reno journey, embracing modular design and quality materials is key to durability. Above all, patience and adaptability are essential, as unexpected challenges often arise.
