What game genres do you low-key struggle with? 🤭
idk who needs to hear this… but some game genres just do NOT like me back 😭💜
For me? Shooters + controllers = instant downfall.
Put me on a phone or tablet and suddenly I’m a sniper elite.
Hand me a PlayStation controller? I’m shooting the sky, the floor, my teammates… everyone except the enemy 😭🎮
Today’s post: a little gamer-girly honesty + asking y’all what your struggle genre is, because I KNOW I’m not alone.
💜 Mini Must-Knows:
1️⃣ It’s normal to have a struggle genre. Even experienced players have a weak spot.
2️⃣ Your controls matter. Sensitivity settings can make or break shooters — lower sens = better accuracy for beginners.
3️⃣ Platforms change your skill level. Being good on mobile/tablet but not console is actually super common. Your brain processes aim differently with touch vs analog sticks!
Comment your struggle genre because I’m collecting them for comfort 👀💜
Save this if you ever thought you were “the only one” 🎮✨

It's perfectly normal to face challenges with certain game genres—many gamers find that their skills vary greatly depending on the platform and control method they use. For example, as mentioned, shooters can be especially tricky when using controllers, as precision aiming with analog sticks requires different muscle memory and coordination compared to touch controls on mobile devices or tablets. Many players notice that their aim is sharper on touchscreen devices because these rely on direct finger input, which can feel more intuitive. Meanwhile, controllers demand fine-tuned adjustment of sensitivity settings to help improve accuracy. Lowering sensitivity can give beginners more control over their crosshairs, reducing accidental overshooting or missing targets entirely. The OCR content referencing games like ARC Raiders and Warframe, which are third-person shooters involving fast-paced action and complex controls, highlights the challenge for players to coordinate inputs precisely on consoles. Both games also feature in-game purchases and interactive multiplayer environments, adding layers of complexity that can overwhelm less comfortable gamers. Understanding that every player has a "struggle genre" allows us to be more patient with our progress and encourages sharing tips within the gaming community. Adjusting your controller sensitivity, practicing on different devices, and exploring the unique mechanics of each game can significantly improve your skills over time. Don’t hesitate to express what genres or platforms trip you up—this honest sharing fosters a supportive atmosphere where gamers realize they aren’t alone in their experiences. Whether it’s shooters on PlayStation controllers or strategy games on PC, embracing these hurdles is part of the gaming adventure. Keep playing, adjusting, and connecting with others to turn your struggles into strengths!
