1 Year Gym Transformation

One year of progress 🥹

Don’t forget to take your progress photos tomorrow 😉

I was super inconsistent in the gym and with my diet throughout the year and didn’t start being consistent until around August. But I still notice a huge difference both physically and mentally!! 🥒🥕🥑🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

... Read moreSeeing my one-year gym transformation photos side-by-side still blows my mind! It truly shows what a difference a year can make, even when your journey isn't perfectly linear. When I first captured that 'before' shot in January 2024, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. Fast forward to December 2024, and the difference is so much more than just physical; my entire outlook on fitness and my own capabilities has changed. Like many, I started with a burst of motivation, eager for that '1 year workout' glow. But life happens, right? There were weeks I was super consistent, hitting the gym 4-5 times, feeling strong and energized. Then came periods of travel, stress, or just plain lack of motivation where my gym attendance plummeted, and my diet went a bit wild. I used to beat myself up over these inconsistencies, thinking I'd ruined all my progress. But what I learned through this year-long fitness journey is that it's okay to have off days, or even off weeks. The key is to always come back. For my workouts, I focused on a mix of strength training and a little cardio. I found that lifting weights made me feel incredibly empowered. I started with basic compound movements – squats, deadlifts, bench presses – and gradually increased the weight. For anyone aiming for a 'gym 1 year transformation,' I’d highly recommend finding a routine you enjoy. For me, that meant discovering the joy of seeing my strength improve week after week. Even on days I felt tired, just getting in a short, effective session made a huge difference to my mood and kept the momentum going. Tracking progress wasn't just about the scale or those progress photos (though seeing my January 2024 vs. December 2024 pictures is undeniably motivating!). I also paid attention to how my clothes fit, my energy levels, and my mental clarity. There's a profound mental shift that happens when you commit to a year of fitness; you learn discipline, resilience, and self-compassion. Even when I was inconsistent with my diet, I noticed that simply moving my body regularly helped me feel better overall. My top advice for anyone embarking on their own 'one year gym transformation' is this: 1) Don't aim for perfection, aim for consistency over time. Little efforts add up. 2) Take those progress photos from the very start – you'll thank yourself later when you see the dramatic change. 3) Find your 'why.' What truly motivates you? For me, it became less about aesthetics and more about feeling strong, healthy, and confident in my own skin. Remember, every journey has its detours, but what truly matters is that you keep moving forward.

i’ve been working on my physical health for about 8 years, and going to the gym for 5. if I could go back and start all over again, I would work hard on these 3 things, rather than working on getting the perfect body. physical and mental health shouldn’t have an end destination—when we think in thi

How I Lost Over 100 Pounds in 1 Year!
what ACTUALLY worked for me I didn’t do anything crazy. No detoxes, no cutting out entire food groups, no 2-hour gym sessions right away. I just finally stayed consistent. 1. calorie deficit (this is EVERYTHING) I’m not even going to sugarcoat it, this is what made me lose the weight.
