Go outside

💭What's on my mind: today I ran 3 miles and was super appreciative of what my body is doing for me. I remember as a kid never doing well on the pacer tests, NEVER running the mile on time or at all during gym, I’d walk around the track gossiping with my friends. Even into my adult hood I would refuse to run or do any cardio that wasn’t on a machine, but even then still not running, walking only. A couple months ago my friend started going to a run club and invited me and I declined. I said I would never run. Then one day I decided to try. I was so tired of being the girl that says I can’t. It was time to push myself and I can’t believe I did. I did 3 miles today, my 13 year old self, 16 year old self, 21 year old self, and 27 year old self are so proud. I’m really doing this.

Getting outdoors not only boosts physical health but also enhances mental well-being. Nature has a unique way of invigorating our spirits. When you step outside, you're inviting fresh air into your routine and breaking away from the constraints of indoor environments. Running, walking, or simply enjoying nature can lead to improved mood and reduced stress levels. Engaging in outdoor activities helps in building a community, as many join running clubs or local groups to share experiences. The sense of accomplishment from completing a run or a workout outdoors contributes to our overall confidence and can transform how we view fitness. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just beginning your journey, remember that every step counts. It's essential to start at your own pace and gradually challenge yourself, just like I did. You may be surprised at what your body can achieve when you decide to push your limits. So why not go outside today? Mother Nature misses you, and there’s a world of experiences waiting for you.
