I wish I didn't have abig heart because it's alway

4/24 Edited to

... Read moreHaving a big heart often means experiencing both the beauty and the pain of deep emotions. I’ve personally found that while it can be tough to face heartbreak, it also opens doors to meaningful connections and genuine empathy. It’s important to remember that when you give your heart, you’re sharing a piece of your true self, which is incredibly valuable. One lesson I learned is that maintaining healthy boundaries is key to protecting your emotional wellbeing. It doesn’t mean shutting yourself off, but rather understanding when to say no and recognizing who truly deserves your care. Another way to cope is to practice self-compassion and remind yourself that your kindness is your strength, not a weakness. Many people with big hearts might feel they lose more than they gain, but often, those who hurt them are the ones missing out. Over time, I realized that each heartbreak was a step toward becoming more resilient and better at choosing who gets to be part of my inner circle. If you relate to the feeling of your heart being broken frequently, try journaling your experiences or talking with trusted friends. It can help process emotions and shift your view from pain to empowerment. Remember, having a big heart means you are capable of incredible love and understanding — qualities that enrich your life and those around you.

The Pill I Didn’t Want to Need — and Why I Take It
